16 Inch Wilderness Separation
Case description: I have 16" Wilderness AT tires (made in Canada) that came as original equipment on my 1998 Ranger.
At 14,000 miles, the tread separated on one of the tires. This occurred with no load in the truck and in May when hot temperatures normally are not a factor. Fortunately I did not have an accident nor was I injured.
I had a tough time with the local Firestone store, but they finally replaced the tire with the same kind. I saved the documentation showing the tread separation. I have absolutely no faith in Firestone or these tires, and I think they too should be included in the recall and replaced with non-Firestone tires.
